September 10, 1992 - diplomatic relations are established.
December 20, 2000 - the Honorable Consulate of the Netherlands is opened in the city of Atyrau.
June 17, 2003 - the General Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan is established in Amsterdam.
February 18, 2005 - the General Consulate in Amsterdam is reorganised into the Diplomatic Mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
January 1, 2007 - the Diplomatic Mission is reorganised into the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
October 3, 2007 - Mrs. Mainura S. Murzamadiyeva is appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
July 2012 - Mr. Peter van Leeuwen is appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
